Michelle’s hope is to meet you where you are in your journey and that you feel met, seen, honored and understood. With care and respect for your own pace and processing, her intention is to help you glean insight and heal places of pain that may cause you to feel “stuck” or “unsure” of your unique self. Michelle offers individual therapy for adolescents (13 yrs old and up) and adults who may struggle with anxiety, co-dependency, depression, grief, parenting and trauma.
Before and after the “I do’s”, Michelle offers the Prepare Enrich curriculum for premarital work and helps marriages through the various life stages and stressors of couple-hood. With attentiveness toward your goals for your marriage, she offers effective communication and conflict resolution skills, and provides an opportunity and space to understand patterns form the past that hinders present closeness and connection.
Creating a safe space for all family members to experience one another in a new way, Michelle helps families through developmental stages, grief, understanding the impact of a diagnosis or addiction on the family system and what it means to create a new culture as an integrated family.
An an AAMFT Approved Supervisor-Candidate, Michelle is available to offer Supervision for LMFT-A’s. With a desire to support, encourage and equip therapist as they enter into their clinical therapeutic work, Michelle looks forward to teaching, coaching, mentoring and shepherding therapist in their professional growth.
SoulCollage® taps into the transformative power of images, imagination, intuition and synchronicity. The soul gravitates to images that have meaning for you, even though you may not know why.
This group will meet 12 times in 12 months. We will interact with a Step, an art activity designed to integrate and explore that specific Step, and an opportunity to share one’s insight. All supplies will be provided.
Michelle enjoys working with and speaking to community partners, churches, organizations and school systems on a variety of mental health, faith, leadership and holistic living topics.
Based on the book The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, by Dr. John Gottman, this 8 week class looks at typical stages of marriages, qualities that can help create a safe haven within your marriage, discuss the importance of friendship, communication skills and conflict resolution as well as what it means to live out Happily Ever After with grace.
This witty and wise book on parenting will help you feel prepared and place you and your family on a path of raising centered, resilient, ethical and compassionate children. This class covers important every day topics (meal time battles, chores, whining, and allowance) with scripture as an anchor for helping parents raise respectful, resourceful, independent children. 6 week class.
This 6 week class address the many facets of depression. The difference between and co-morbidity with anxiety, depression and anger, depression and medication, depression and faith, depression and loss, depression and daily living. Each topic highlights current research, affective treatment plans and spiritual practices.
